Trailers and previews

Preview a movie or show before watching, or keep Home and detail pages quiet while browsing. These choices belong to your Plozz profile.

Watch a trailer

On a title's details, Trailer plays a server file in Plozz. Plozz prefers server trailers, including one from another accessible copy, before offering Watch on YouTube. That opens outside Plozz, independently of your external-player preference.

Apple TV needs the YouTube app; iPhone/iPad can fall back to its website. For Couldn't open YouTube, check that app. YouTube controls availability and restrictions. A trailer button appears only when a trailer is found; a visible link does not guarantee playback.

Open a preview full screen on Apple TV

While a detail-page preview is playing, focus its action buttons and press Up to watch it full screen with sound and playback controls. The Up for playback controls hint identifies this action.

From Home's hero, Up does this only with Pinned Sidebar; other layouts keep their usual Up navigation. Press Back to return, closing any open menus or controls first. The preview's previous mute state is restored.

Choose trailers and previews

Open Settings > Screens & Navigation > Movie & show details > Trailers & music. With the Home hero enabled, Settings > Screens & Navigation > Home > Hero > Trailers & music opens the same settings.

  1. Under Trailers, choose Off, Server only, or Server + YouTube. Off removes trailer actions and autoplay, not other extras or theme music. YouTube links never autoplay.
  2. Under Home, set Home autoplay, then Start muted if autoplay is on.
  3. Under Details, choose Detail background: Off for still artwork, Trailer for an available server preview, or Theme music. Trailer has its own Start muted; theme music has volume and preview controls.

Home and detail choices are independent. If trailers are Off, Home autoplay is unavailable and Detail background cannot use Trailer.
