Playback and audio

Use player controls to choose audio or video versions without leaving your video.

Choose audio or a version

  1. On Apple TV, press Up to reach the playback controls. On iPhone or iPad, tap the video to reveal them.
  2. Open Audio to select a track, or Version to choose among available files or editions. On iPhone/iPad, both are in playback options.

Version switching stays on the active server and account. It resumes at your current position, but different cuts can have different timelines.

Use Settings > Playback > Version selection to choose whether Plozz asks each time or remembers your choice.

Limit streaming data

On iPhone and iPad only, open Settings > Playback and set separate limits for Local network, Remote Wi-Fi / Ethernet, and Cellular.

The player’s Quality control changes only the current video. Saved network defaults remain unchanged.

These controls apply to Plex, Jellyfin, Emby, and Silo movies and episodes—not Apple TV, music, Live TV, or network shares. Limits include audio. Server conversion may change HDR or audio formats; available choices depend on the server. Download quality is separate.

Apple TV height audio

On tvOS 26 or later with compatible equipment, Settings > Playback > Audio > TrueHD Atmos and DTS:X controls height audio for supported tracks. Changes apply to new playback sessions.

This uses lossy conversion, not original bitstream passthrough. If those tracks stutter, try turning it off; Dolby Digital Plus Atmos is unaffected.
